Reading: 30 mins reading; This week’s assignments: Book review, vocab test, current event 5, and directions 10 & 11

Social Studies:

Math:  Teach today’s lesson (using your notes – equivalent decimals to fractions and equivalent fractions to decimals) to an adult at home.  Include examples and a signature on the paper you turn in tomorrow to show you completed the assignment.

Math:  Fraction Test on THURSDAY.  Homework tonight: do Fraction Review Packet:  All of section I (Vocabulary), Section II: #1 (a, b, c), #2 (a, b, c), #3 (a, b, c), #4 (a, b, c) #5 (a, b, c), Section IV:  #1, 2, 3.

7TH GRADE–

Language Arts:  No homework

Reading: complete editing academic fair essay if it has not been turned in.

Social Studies: Black Death opinion papers due Wednesday.

Math (Mrs. Long):  1.)  Complete Perimeter, Area, Volume Review WS (says “in class” on it).  Do ONLY #1-10.  Follow directions and use a separate piece of paper.  2.)  TEST on Thursday.  See yesterday’s post for details.  Use study guide handed out today for details.  3.)  Daily Review due on Friday (no class that day…be prepared to pass it in in the morning).

8TH GRADE–

Language Arts: Read “The Noose Tightens”

Reading:

Social Studies: None

Math (Mrs. Long): Continue reading.  Group 1 – The Writing on the Wall (do a response/summary after every 3rd chapter).  Group 2 – A Gebra Named Al (not The Number Devil).  After every chapter, describe a character and his/her role in the story up to that point.

Math (Mrs. Giordano):

Science: by Friday’s test: 1.) drawing and description of measuring fault movement, 2.) choose, read, and take notes on one of the sections on earthquake safety -pp. 73-78. 3.) complete the last page of Dragon vocabulary. Test on Friday – Thursday if leaving early for vacationand will miss friday.

April 16

6TH GRADE–

Reading: read 30 minutes;  follow calendar

Math:  Fraction Word Problem #1 WS.  Fraction TEST on THURSDAY (all operations and concepts and word problems).

Science: use astronomy ook pages 39-41 to complete the moon notes

 

7TH GRADE–

Language Arts:  No homework

Reading:  revise and reprint your phase III essay as needed

Social Studies: Complete opinions paper for Wednesday.

Math (Mrs. Long):  Basic WS 192-193 and Basic WS 194-194.  Show all steps and use a calculator.  Test on Thursday covering Perimeter, Area, Volume (all vocabulary, formulas and applictions)

Math (Mrs. Giordano):

Science:  complete the questions for the separating mixtures lab

 

8TH GRADE–

Language Arts: Read until p 70

Reading:

Social Studies: None

Math (Mrs. Long):  Today students turned in the journals for Secrets, Lies, and Algebra.  Two novels are next…one group is reading The Writing on the Wall (and doing a response/summary after every 3rd chapter) and another group is reading The Number Devil and doing a response after every “night” in the book.

Math (Mrs. Giordano):

Science:  Dragon vocabulary due Wednesday;   Measuring earthquake devises or safety notes complete tonight.  Test on Friday.

Algebra:  Test tomorrow on Chapter 7
